WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. WATCH D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for a day to provide a positive male role model for students.
WATCH D.O.G.S.® have the opportunity to interact with a variety of classes and ages by playing games with students, working on math facts, reading with students and so much more! You will also get to be in the lunchroom and go out at recess with all grades, including having lunch with your own child(ren). Becoming a WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an opportunity to make a difference with many different students throughout the day!
Teacher Schedule
We have created a schedule of what days each teacher has WATCH D.O.G.S.®. You may find this helpful when you go to pick which day you are going to sign up to volunteer. Please open the WATCH D.O.G.S.® Teacher Schedule to see what day might work best for you!
If you notice that your children’s teachers do not have the same day scheduled for WATCH D.O.G.S.®, you can directly email those teachers to see if they can work out a switch to accommodate the change. Please understand that teachers may not be able to be as flexible with the schedule sometimes. Also, know that you WILL get to see all of your children no matter what during lunch and recess!
Sign-up for WATCH D.O.G.S.®
You can sign up for any day that is available Monday-Friday. Please note if you are wanting to sign up on a special day for let’s say a child’s birthday, the sooner you sign up, the better your chances will be that that date is available!
